Making Waves - July 2006
| Dive Sulawesi...with a purpose!
September is right around the corner and there are just a few spaces remaining on our volunteer dive expedition to the exotic waters of North Sulawesi! This expedition will be the first to feature our Sony HDW-F900 High Definition camera and Amphibico housing! Join our pro's as they determine the best approach to capture the marine life of Indonesia using this state of the art camera. As an IF volunteer, you can develop your photography, graphic, and production skills as you help us with our educational mission, and get a tax deduction for your efforts!
Travel in style and comfort aboard the Aggressor as you explore the amazing marine biodiversity of this remote region. Then, learn more about the culture, flora, and fauna of Indonesia during the optional add-on land excursion. Basing out of the Tasik Ria Spa & Resort, we will hike in the Tangkoko National Park, go whitewater rafting on a North Sulawesi river, and experience the culture of the Minahasan highlands. The perfect ending to an amazing adventure!!
I want to go! Tell me how! |
| Long Beach Angels
Welcome to our new friends we met at the SCUBA Show 2006 in Long Beach, CA!
Imaging Foundation extends a sincere thanks to Pelican, Amphibico and Akona, our corporate sponsors for the Long Beach Show. Our Long Beach "Angels" generously supported our mission by donating their wonderful products for our Silent Auction. Pelican, Amphibico and Akona love our oceans, and it shows! Show attendees had the opportunity to check out our Sony HDW-F900 High definition camera and learn about the mission of the Imaging Foundation.
And thank you to everyone who signed up to receive our newsletter! We look forward to seeing you on a future volunteer expedition. Congratulations to Mike Pinnington, the winner of the IF drawing for a Pelican 1560 Dive Case.

| IF Announces New Internship Program
IF recently launched its new Student Internship Program. The goal of this program is to provide a unique learning opportunity for students to experience expedition photography while helping IF to develop educational productions. Participating students will learn real life skills from underwater photographers, journalists, scientists and graphics professionals. Our first intern is Kelsey Powell, a sixteen year old high school student from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She is simultaneously learning photography and SCUBA diving, as well as raising funds to join the IF team on the North Sulawesi expedition.
