Wells Fargo issues $1000 grant to IF!

Image The Imaging Foundation recently received a $1000 grant from Wells Fargo as a part of their Volunteer Service Award program. This program gives Wells Fargo team members the chance to win grants for the non-profit organization or K-12 school where they volunteer. Winners are chosen based on the team member? dedication to the organization, effectiveness of their work, amount of personal time volunteered and the value of their work to their community.

Our very own Ana Martin, a Wells Fargo team member and Imaging Foundation volunteer, was instrumental in obtaining this grant. In recognition of her valuable contributions to the Imaging Foundation, Wells Fargo has contributed $1,000 though its Volunteer Service Award program.

Thank you Ana and thank you Wells Fargo!

Intern Fundraising Dinner a Success!

Last Month, we told you about our new internship program and our first intern, Kelsey Powell. On August 6, Kelsey sponsored a fundraising dinner and silent auction to raise over $2500 for the Imaging Foundation. Donations will be used to support Imaging Foundation educational programs such as the Internship Program and the Cayman Classroom.

The Imaging Foundation internship program engages students to assist in achieving IF goals by conducting research, developing educational productions, and educating their local community. Interns will gain knowledge in photography, biology, geography, and leadership skills. An intern may also be invited to join an expedition to assist a volunteer team of professionals as they acquire imagery and work on various projects. Kelsey will be joining the Imaging Foundation on the Sulawesi expedition.

Only a Couple of Spots Left!

Image Time is running out. There are only a couple of spots left on this exciting adventure to Cocos Island. High adrenaline diving! The probable guest list includes hammerheads, mantas, dolphins, massive schools of jacks, Galapagos sharks, whale sharks, oceanic white tip sharks AND MORE!

Participate in THE MOST EXCITING night dive you will ever make. Scores of docile reef white tip sharks that rest on the ocean floor during the day become quite active at night. Hover several feet off the bottom and watch as rivers of white tips swarm and hunt. It is amazing! And surreal to watch!
